Graphic and Multimedia Designer Weil am Rhein (Basel area) · Full-time · On-site
WHO WE ARE
If you've ever wanted to own a brand's entire visual world — this is that role.
We are pulpo – we edit sculptural objects that sit at the intersection of art and function. Each piece is conceived by an international creator, realised through experimental craftsmanship, and made from materials that have their own logic and their own will.
Our team of six operates across Europe and beyond from our office two minutes from Basel — home to some of Europe's most important design and art events, and well connected to the rest of the continent. The office also comes with two dogs, who will judge your work, steal your attention, and make every day considerably better.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Graphic and Multimedia Designer to take full ownership of how pulpo looks across every touchpoint: digital, print, and physical. You will work independently, guided by our Art Director. The role moves between formats, scales, and disciplines. No two weeks look the same, and we need someone who thrives in that kind of environment. We don't expect perfection across every discipline from day one — we expect curiosity, commitment, and a genuine investment in the work.
We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible.
Core responsibilities:
Print design — catalogues, lookbooks, price lists, flyers, business cards, and everything in between
Photography — art directing, planning, shooting, and editing lifestyle and packshot photography
Email and newsletters — designing and managing our newsletter programme and email footers
Website — uploading new pieces, updating the home page, and leading redesigns when the time comes
Social media — planning, managing, and writing for Instagram and LinkedIn
Fairs and events — designing exhibition stands, planning timelines, and coordinating all assets well in advance
Asset management — maintaining and developing our Download Area (VOCAST), including uploads and tagging
Press — handling incoming requests and building press kits
Keeping an eye on the world — following trends in design, visual culture, and the sectors we work with
For the right person, the role can also grow to include:
Video and motion — producing and editing video content and motion graphics for digital channels and events
Performance — reading newsletter and social insights and using them to make the next one better
Travel — attending fairs across Europe and representing pulpo on our stands

We believe in investing in our people — if there are courses, skills, or even German language lessons that would help you grow, we want to hear about it
A full-time position as our primary focus — though for the right profile, we are open to discussing part-time arrangements or internships
You are not sure if you fit this profile or maybe you only fulfil some of these points? In a conversation we can clarify ambiguities together and see what possibilities there are: Marina Pérez [email protected]
We look forward to meeting you!
pulpo is built on the work of international creators, and our team reflects that same openness. We welcome applications from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. What matters to us is the work, the curiosity, and the person behind both.
